Silicone Coated Fabrics
Silicone-coated fabric is used in the manufacture of flexible heater pads, which are used in applications such as car seats, where flex is an important characteristic.
Flexible heater pads are produced by sandwiching wire elements or etched foil between two layers of flexible heater pad material. Glass fabric reinforced heater pad material is the primary product offered for flexible heater pads; however, Kevlar™ and polyester reinforcements are available on request.
Fenner Precision application engineers, in partnership with heater pad manufacturers, can customize silicone-coated fabrics (such as the heater pad) solution for diverse range of requirements.
Some commonly requested custom features for heater pads are:
- Specific grade of silicone elastomer
- Alternate fabric reinforcement
- Various thickness of materials
- Cured one-side, cured both-sides or not cured at all
- Color
- Roll length and width
