Engineered Polyurethane Elastomers - Abrasion resistant, Electrically conductive, Anti-static, Self-lubricating, Shock Absorbing, Wide-Hardness Range (15A - 75D), Solvent and Oil resistant, and Chemical resistant.
Polyurethane Microcellular Foam Elastomers - Abrasion resistant, used for High-Speed Paper Feed.
Fenner Precision's chemists can customs formulate an elastomer solution for unique applications. Liquid cast polyurethanes offer a broad range of properties including:
- MDI-Ester - Abrasion resistance, high cut and tear properties, FDA approved materials.
- TDI-Ester - Solvent resistance, abrasion resistance
- MDI-Ethers - High resilience, better impingement type abrasive resistance, hydrolysis (water) resistance, excellent low-temperature properties.
- PPDI - Ester/Ether - Premium-grade material with exceptional properties.
Fenner Precision offers the following options in polyurethane rollers:
Vacuum Transfer Roller
Controlled Electrical Conductivity is used to charge the paper in electrostatic digital printer. Vacuum holes are molded into the roller to save secondary machining operation.
Intermediate Transfer Sleeve (IT)
Semi electrically conductive sleeve molded and ground to a precise +/- 10 microns. Dip coated to modify the surface 6 micron thick +/- 1 micron tolerance. This highly engineered product is used to transfer toner in a high speed digital press.
Primary Charge Roller
A seamless manufacturing process was developed to eliminate the need for secondary grinding operations. The charge has a controlled amount of electrical conductivity to apply to the OPC drum in a laser printer.
Fuser Roller
A unique formulation of thermally conductive silicone is used to "fuse toner" to paper.
High Speed Paper Feed Rollers
Fenner Precision's Buffalo, NY, location developed a microcellular foam for this application. This new polyurethane foam is an extremely durable material offering customers long life in high speed paper feed applications and several formulations are available with high coefficient of friction.
Particle Transfer Roller (PTR)
Fenner Precision's PTR roller is designed with a unique "soft & tacky" polyurethane combined with a "glass like finish" to offer superior media cleaning. These rollers are primarily used in large media cleaning application - 6-8 feet long / 4-6 inches diameter, down to smaller sizes such as the 70mm.
Transfer Roller Assembly
An electrically conductive polymer is used on a vacuum drum with over 500 laser drilled holes and is primarily used to charge paper for the "transfer of toner" in digital printing press.
