Silicone Tires / Rollers

There are seven common causes of tire or roller failure, see below:

• Shaft alignment and concentricity
• Parallelism of shaft
• Chemical attack - check for chemical contaminants
• Loss of friction - check for contaminants
• Excessive wear - check for paper jams or feed roller problems
• Compressive set - check installed load and operating frequency
• Excessive bounce - switch to silicone or try a softer durometer silicone.
